Johanna became a court transcriber in 1973, working for local court stenographers. Shortly thereafter, audio recordings were introduced into the courtrooms and soon became the industry standard. Johanna established J&J Court Transcribers, Inc. in 1976, transcribing the audio record for a variety of New Jersey and city court systems.
An eager businesswoman, Johanna sought out new accounts throughout New Jersey and beyond, expanding the business steadily. She is a NJ Certified Transcriber and Agency Director as approved by the NJ Administrative Office of the Courts, and is a founding member of the Certified Transcribers Association of New Jersey (CTANJ).
